“Begin, be bold, and venture to be wise.”― Horace

Ricardo ran up to Jordan and said in a panting voice, “We can’t find Panzer.” Jordan frowned, turned his head to look at Ricardo’s worried face. Over his shoulder, he could see that the first guests were starting to arrive.

They were celebrating the first anniversary of the Seychelles School of Small Business on the beach outside his house in Praslin.

And he was getting married to the love of his life, Audrey, on the same day.

And (unknown to Audrey)Panzer was wearing the ring pouch around his collar!

“What do you mean we can’t find him?” Jordan stopped tying the final palm leaves into the makeshift bamboo stage and walked barefoot past the tinsel-covered white chairs with light blue cushions, past the caterers putting the champagne bottles into ice, and past the handheld video camera being tested on the tripod by some of the students.

“Panzer!” Panzer! Jordan shouted as he walked across the beach into the house full of Jordan and Audrey’s family and friends who had arrived from London and New York and helped the catering team to get the food to the beach.

Villa Louisa looked happy.

Jordan had covered her up with hundreds of warm white twinkle lights from the roof down to the floor. The trees were also draped with the same lights, making the house feel like a drunk colony of fireflies had attacked it and were refusing to leave.

Sheldon was there with his family and his church band, standing on the porch putting the final tuning on the instruments and testing the microphones. Jordan had recently discovered Sheldon’s band and only on Audrey’s insistence asked him to play at the party- (Sheldon had threatened Jordan that he was going to sing all night long!)

He glanced nervously at his watch; it was almost 4.30 pm. The ceremony started in 20 minutes. The priest from the village church was already sitting on the porch looking excited, laughing, and talking to some locals and Jordan’s friends and gave Jordan a beaming smile as he walked past.
